Overview
JM Test Systems is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Manager to lead operations for our Custom Test Bench group and Vaetrix Gauge manufacturing group. This is a high-impact role with full responsibility for P&L management, budgeting, production oversight, and team leadership. We’re looking for someone who combines strong operational leadership with business acumen, ensuring that safety, quality, and delivery goals are consistently met. If you have a background in process instrumentation, test equipment, or electrical manufacturing, this may be the role for you.
Responsibilities
- Lead & Develop Teams: Coach and grow manufacturing technicians, machinists, and support staff. Build accountability, collaboration, and engagement across both groups.
- Drive Financial Success: Manage P&L, budgets, and forecasts. Identify opportunities for cost control and operational efficiency.
- Oversee Operations: Ensure daily production meets safety, quality, and delivery standards. Oversee scheduling, resource allocation, and ISO compliance.
- Manage Projects: Lead capital projects, process improvements, and lean initiatives. Apply structured project management (PMP or equivalent) to deliver results.
- Shape Strategy: Recommend new technologies, capital investments, and process enhancements that align manufacturing with company growth.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Engineering, or related field (preferred) or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of manufacturing operations experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Proven success managing P&L, budgets, and financial performance in a production environment.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills with a passion for developing teams.
- Familiarity with ISO quality systems and compliance requirements.
- Experience applying project management practices; PMP certification preferred.
- Knowledge of process instrumentation, test equipment, or electrical manufacturing is a strong plus.
- Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and business tools (Excel, Word, etc.).
