Job Summary
Leading industrial manufacturer is in search of a skilled Manufacturing Engineer in the Morrison, IL area. The candidate should have a hands-on mechanical background and experience managing long-term projects while providing day-to-day machinery support. A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferably Mechanical) and 4+ years of manufacturing experience are required. Solid experience with CAD software and manufacturing simulation tools is required. The company offers a compensation range dependent on experience, with a 10% bonus potential, opportunities for career growth into management, product training, benefits (401k, medical, dental, vision), and a PTO package. Relocation assistance is available to qualified candidates.

Responsibilities

• Provide a hands-on approach directly on the manufacturing line while managing large-scale projects.
• Lead continuous improvement processes to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve safety.
• Identify areas for improvement, develop action plans, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement changes, including die & tooling techniques, workflow optimization, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
• Manage projects from tooling to CAD design.
• Manage long-term projects, including delegating assignments to maintenance and operators.
• Implement advanced problem-solving techniques to develop permanent solutions to critical issues.
• Collaborate with production to conduct root cause analysis, develop countermeasures, and monitor effectiveness of implemented solutions.

• Experience level: Experienced
• Minimum 4 years of manufacturing experience
• Education: Bachelor’s degree (required)
