Responsibilities

Responsibilities include product assembly and testing of sub-assemblies. Helps to create and update manufacturing procedures. Ensures continuity of quality processes in the manufacture of MGC Diagnostics products. Assists in the training and orientation of new employees. Also supports manufacturing engineering in development and revising of test procedures, and of manufacturing procedures.:

Also supports manufacturing engineering in development and revising of test procedures, and of manufacturing procedures.:

Reports to: Production Manager

Essential Functions

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Supports team in manufacturing of sub-assembly, final assembly, and testing of all MGC products as requested.
  • Requires repetitive motion to complete assemblies and ability to lift over 50 lbs.
  • Ensures that GMP compliance is met at all stages of production.
  • Monitors WIP to ensure:
  • Work order shortages are minimized, confers status of same with Production Manager
  • WIP and stock inventories are accurate.
  • Work is available for team members when needed.
  • Performs manufacturing tasks including:
  • Reads schematics and written documents.
  • Uses test electronic test equipment.
  • Soldering
  • Crimping
  • Using sealants and thread lockers
  • Following ESD practices and standards
  • Ability to read a ruler or tape measure (standard and metric units)
  • Troubleshoots sub-assemblies as needed.
  • Aids in the writing and implementation of ECOs and deviations
  • Assists in the training and orientation of new employees.
  • Maintains a clean and safe work area.
  • Accept other responsibilities as assigned.
  • Complete training as identified by standard operating procedures and procedural work instructions.
  • Regular attendance is an essential job function.
  • Follow all Company policies and procedures relating to confidential proprietary information (CPI) including, but not limited to, what is outlined in the Confidentiality and Non-Solicitation Agreement.
  • Some overtime may be required.
  • Regular, in-person attendance is required.

Required Education And Experience

  • Two years of medical manufacturing experience in assembly.
  • Two-year electronic degree or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of all MGC equipment and procedures preferred.
  • Company training as required for the position.
  • Applicant must have proven performance to the following:
  • Be willing to work overtime as directed by the Production Manager.
  • Have excellent attendance record.
  • Ability to work in a positive team environment.
  • The ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds repetitively and consistently.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English. Excellent written and verbal communications skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • Frequent standing, sitting, walking, bending, stooping, twisting and occasional crawling.
  • Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs., occasional heavier lifting.
  • Occasional pushing, pulling and handling of materials.
