We are currently seeking aManufacturing Technician with strong manufacturing automation skills to join our growing team and help drive efficiency in our liquid supplement production line.
Position Summary:
Reporting to the Production Manager, the Manufacturing Technician is responsible for operating and maintaining automated manufacturing equipment to ensure the safe and efficient production of liquid dietary supplements. This role requires a strong understanding of manufacturing automation, GMP compliance, and a commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
Location: American Fork, UT 84003 (On-site)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6 am-4:30 pm and 7 am-5:30 pm, rotating schedule as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate automated manufacturing equipment such as liquid filling machines, mixers, homogenizers, and packaging lines per SOPs
Monitor and adjust machine settings to maintain optimal equipment performance and product quality
Program and configure automated systems for different product batches and production runs
Follow detailed production schedules in compliance with GMP, FDA, and OSHA regulations
Conduct in-process quality checks and implement corrective actions when deviations occur
Maintain accurate and timely production documentation, including batch records and equipment logs
Adhere to all company safety procedures and actively participate in safety training
Collaborate with supervisors and team members to optimize production processes
Recommend and support continuous improvement initiatives, especially those related to automation and equipment efficiency
Ensure proper handling and storage of all materials to avoid contamination
Qualifications
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certifications in manufacturing or automation a plus
2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in food, beverage, or dietary supplements
Hands-on experience operating automated production equipment
Familiarity with GMP, FDA, and OSHA regulations
Strong troubleshooting and mechanical aptitude
Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment
Willingness to work night shifts and overtime as needed
Preferred Skills:
Experience with PLCs or HMI interfaces
Background in lean manufacturing or Six Sigma environments
Bilingual (English/Spanish or English/Mandarin) is a plus
