MANUFACTURING ENGINEER JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities:

1. Act as liaison with engineering in releasing new products.
2. Design, build, wire, plumb, program, debug, and maintain new equipment.
3. Review and set up optimized product flow through standard work.
4. Maintain organization of production areas, workrooms, and labs.
5. Continuously monitor manufacturing processes to ensure adherence to product specifications and requirements.
6. Perform equipment troubleshooting and handle subsequent work order requests.
7. Identify and lead initiatives for cost reduction and quality improvement.
8. Conduct PFMEA (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) studies.
9. Sort, image, document, file, and archive documents by form type.
10. Perform basic mechanical assembly using hand tools and hand measuring equipment.
11. Support staff and material scheduling to meet customer requirements.
12. Run studies and validations on the production line as needed.
13. Develop, revise, and support the implementation of new processes on the manufacturing floor.
14. Develop, execute, analyze data, and write reports for validation activities.
15. Ensure processes and procedures comply with relevant regulations.
16. Ensure suppliers and Contract Manufacturers (CMs) meet quality and productivity targets.
17. Travel as needed to support job functions (plants, customers, suppliers, etc.).
18. Resolve technical problems impacting performance, cost, or schedule.
19. Lead advanced manufacturing engineering activities supporting NPI, TCO, and LEAN initiatives.
20. Develop work plans for continuous improvement and report weekly to management.

Qualifications for Manufacturing Engineer:

1. Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
2. Experience with CAD, CNC, AutoCAD, PLM, PLC, Jira, and R software and systems.
3. Strong attention to detail.
4. Demonstrated leadership skills and Six Sigma training.
5. Critical thinker committed to root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
6. Proficient in computer literacy to assist with tasks.
7. Problem-solving abilities.
