JOB TITLE: Aerospace Manufacturing Engineer III

PAY RATE: $62/hour

Summary

• Lead teams to analyze, plan, and improve manufacturing processes, including layout, production flow, tooling, equipment, and assembly methods.
• Conduct technical studies, recommend equipment/methods, and author detailed work/rework instructions to support zero-defect manufacturing.
• Create MBOMs in SAP/Solumina/Corridor; generate make-or-buy proposals and evaluate vendors.
• Perform producibility studies, apply statistical methods, and prepare equipment/facility justifications.
• Drive Lean/Six Sigma initiatives to improve methods, efficiency, and quality; support safety, sustainability, and ergonomic goals.
• Prioritize workloads, allocate resources, and provide project leadership across organizations.
• Mentor, supervise, and train personnel; assume ME Group Head duties as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 4+ years of manufacturing engineering, planning, or related technical experience.
• Proven knowledge of Lean and/or Six Sigma principles.
• Knowledge of engineering configuration requirements, tooling, quality control, plant safety, blueprint reading, and shop math.
• Proficiency with CADAM, CATIA, Solumina, SAP, Corridor, and other computerized systems.
• Experience implementing Lean Manufacturing concepts: 5S, JIT, SMED, KanBan, VSM, One Piece Flow.
• Six Sigma or other data-driven decision-making experience preferred.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, equivalent certification, or demonstrated experience highly desirable.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
