Description

Production / Manufacturing Manager: A high-growth custom cabinet manufacturer is seeking a reliable and organized Manufacturing Manager to support the daily operations of production in our Manchester facility. This role will tightly manage the production schedule, flow of materials, and finished cabinetry, ensuring the successful processing and shipment of custom cabinetry. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in inventory handling, team coordination, and logistics in a production environment. They must be humble, punctual, curious, proactive, and committed to continuous improvement and team success.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Workflow Monitoring:
    • Collaborate with production leads to ensure timely processing and movement of cabinetry worth $130,000 weekly.
    • Tightly manage and improve scheduling software to support growth.
    • Identify delays or bottlenecks in staging, kitting, or shipping and escalate as needed.
  2. Staff Supervision:
    • Oversee and direct production staff, ensuring safety, efficiency, and adherence to procedures.
    • Provide training on safe equipment usage and handling large or delicate cabinetry.
  3. Operational Support:
    • Manage inventory of raw materials and finished cabinets.
    • Oversee staging, loading, and storage to ensure smooth flow.
    • Coordinate receiving materials and shipping orders daily.
  4. Safety & Compliance:
    • Enforce OSHA and internal safety policies, especially around forklifts, lifting, and dust exposure.
    • Maintain a clean, organized warehouse to reduce hazards and improve workflow.
  5. Reporting & Communication:
    • Update the executive team regularly.
    • Communicate with production teams about material needs, schedules, and priorities.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in manufacturing or logistics, preferably in a lean environment.
  • Familiarity with ERP and scheduling systems.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Leadership ability in a fast-paced setting.

Physical Requirements

  • Lift/move up to 75 lbs occasionally.
  • Comfort working around large cabinetry, dust, and equipment.
  • Stand and walk for long periods.

Work Schedule

  • Monday to Thursday, half-day Friday.
  • 8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday, no weekends.
