Job Description
MMUUSD is seeking an affable, energetic and committed individual to work as a second shift custodian at our Underhill Central School and Underhill ID PK/Central Office locations. The person in this position will be responsible for keeping the building clean and in an orderly condition. Cleaning includes daily cleaning of classrooms and common areas as well as mopping, waxing, and buffing floors. It also includes periodic upkeep of school grounds. Some minor maintenance activities may be required as well as notifying supervisor of the need for repairs. The person is also responsible for monitoring and supporting evening building use. An ability to communicate courteously, efficiently, and effectively with a variety of individuals is a must. The person will be expected to work collaboratively with the Head Custodian and other custodial staff to maintain all aspects of building cleanliness and safety.
- Perform daily cleaning of classrooms and common areas, including mopping, waxing, and buffing floors.
- Maintain cleanliness and order in the building; monitor and support evening building use.
- Perform periodic upkeep of school grounds and minor maintenance as needed; notify supervisor of repair needs.
- Collaborate with Head Custodian and custodial staff to maintain safety and cleanliness.
Qualifications
- Affable, energetic and committed with the ability to communicate courteously and effectively with a variety of individuals.
- Ability to work second shift.
