Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and self-motivated Lead Custodian to join our team at [Company Name], an exciting indoor family entertainment center. The Lead Custodian will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our guests by performing a variety of custodial tasks independently. This position requires a candidate who can work autonomously, has a strong knowledge of custodial work, and takes pride in ensuring all areas of the facility are well-maintained.
What You’ll Do:
- Clean and sanitize designated areas of the facility, including restrooms, offices, dining areas, and customer spaces.
- Vacuum, sweep, mop floors, and empty trash cans and recycling bins, including restroom trash.
- Dust, polish furniture and fixtures, and clean windows and mirrors.
- Stock and maintain custodial closets with cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, and carpet cleaners.
- Report any maintenance or repair needs to management.
- Follow safety procedures and guidelines, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Maintain accurate records of cleaning schedules and tasks completed.
- Work independently, identifying tasks that need to be done without constant supervision.
- Maintain a professional demeanor and provide courteous service to all customers and employees.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and perform physical custodial tasks.
- Familiar with custodial best practices, cleaning chemicals, and equipment.
- Ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines carefully.
- Positive attitude with a strong work ethic.
- A focus on cleanliness and maintaining a welcoming environment for all guests.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 1 year of custodial experience.
- Prior experience in an indoor entertainment setting is a plus, but not required.
- Available to work evenings and weekends as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with maintaining and operating cleaning equipment.
- Experience working independently with little supervision.
