Pay Range: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour.

The Heart of Illinois Special Recreation Association (HISRA) is a cooperative effort of the Peoria, Morton, Chillicothe, and Washington Park Districts. Its mission is to provide quality recreation programs and services to individuals with disabilities and special needs. The part time Custodian position is responsible for a number of tasks, described below.

• Perform all assigned facility maintenance and clean up; routine outdoor maintenance functions and grounds keeping.
• Ensure all areas of the building are in good repair.
• Submit maintenance and repair requests and monitor progress to completion.
• Conduct facility and vehicle safety inspection and fleet management.
• Set up and tear down for facility programs.
• Assist in requisitioning and inventorying all janitorial equipment and supplies. Assist in the performance of daily checklists and maintenance procedure items and preparation and monitoring of maintenance supplies.
• Recommend improved maintenance techniques and procedures based on experience and training.
• Pick up and/or deliver supplies, equipment, and materials as assigned.
• Follow all safety procedures that pertain to the duties performed. Support all aspects of the Peoria Park District and HISRA safety programs.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
