Job Description

Insight Global is looking to hire a Facilities Custodian to support a client in Hanover, MD. This person will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and operational readiness of assigned buildings and grounds. This role ensures that all areas are clean, well-stocked, and in good repair, contributing to a safe and welcoming environment for staff, clients, and visitors. Daily tasks include, but are not limited to:

Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing restrooms, kitchens, and common areas.

Empty trash receptacles and replace liners; ensure proper disposal of waste and recyclables.

Restock supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.

Maintain exterior areas including entrances, sidewalks, and grounds (e.g., snow removal, leaf blowing, watering plants).

Conduct daily inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards.

Perform minor repairs such as replacing light bulbs, fixing door handles, and reporting major issues to maintenance staff.

Secure buildings by locking doors, closing windows, and setting alarms after hours.

Assist with furniture moves, event setups, and deliveries.

Follow safety protocols for handling cleaning chemicals and equipment.

Must-Haves

High school diploma or equivalent

Proven experience in custodial or janitorial services

Familiarity with industrial cleaning equipment and safe chemical handling

Good communication skills, reliable attendance and ability to work independently or as part of a team

Pay:

$15.00/hr ($35,000 per year)
