Overview

As a Production Forklift Operator you are responsible for ensuring that material and products are at the right place to achieve maximum efficiency. You are expected to operate a forklift with care to ensure efficiency and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Locate and move stock of products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment
  • Transport raw materials, resin and supplies to production workstations
  • Verify packaging labels are correct with the Work Order posted at the Operator stand and label finished product pallets
  • Place finished goods to proper staging aisle in the warehouse
  • Visually inspect forklifts for damages or hydraulic leaks, verify horn is in good working condition and the backup audible alarm is working before the start of every shift
  • Drain material from machine hoppers, weigh box and return to materials area
  • Weigh and scale finished product pallets, materials, resins that are being returned to warehouse
  • Comply with company policies, safety standards, and good housekeeping practices
  • Help maintain a safe and orderly environment of the facilities
  • Reports to shift supervisor

Requirements

  • Bilingual (English & Spanish) is a plus
  • Attention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipment
  • Experience operating a sit down forklift
  • Must be able to pass our forklift training certification (driving and written)
  • Must be able to identify material
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must have your own reliable transportation
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Must be flexible and able to work extended shifts and/or weekends

Schedule

  • Monday - Friday, may have to work extended hours and/or weekends as needed
  • Multiple shifts

Compensation

  • $14-$15

Physical Demands

  • Standing, walking, sitting; using hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reaching with arms; climbing stairs; balance; stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling; talking or hearing; tasting or smelling
  • Lift and/or move up to 30 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities required include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus
