Overview

Forklift Operator role at Ryder Supply Chain Solutions in Dekalb, Illinois. Permanent Full Time Warehouse position.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions, which may include loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Work within performance measurement guidelines of the contract.
• Ensure accurate picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products, and loading/unloading of trucks.
• Handle day-to-day paperwork in a warehouse environment (e.g., picking sheets, returns, bills of lading).
• Provide technical and maintenance support for the automated packing system during core shift hours.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team; capable of working within a diverse environment.
• Ability to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs; ability to stand for long periods; ability to work with safety-focused methods.
• Must be punctual with good attendance and able to work on a flexible schedule.
• Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up practices.
