Ryder System, Inc. is hiring: Warehouse Forklift Operator in DeKalb

Overview

Warehouse Forklift Operator role at Ryder System, Inc. in Dekalb, Illinois. Permanent Full Time position. Pay: $22.30 per hour. Schedule: Four day workweek. D Shift; Sunday through Tuesday, 5:15 pm to 4:45 am; Wednesday, 5:15 pm to 11:15 pm.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions, which may include loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Ensure accurate picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products, and loading/unloading of trucks.
• Handle day-to-day paperwork in a warehouse environment (e.g., picking sheets, returns, bills of lading).
• Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during the core shift hour of production.
• Perform duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team; able to operate in a diverse work environment.
• Detail oriented with excellent follow-up practices; thorough and dependable.
• Must be punctual with good attendance; capable of working with minimal supervision; initiative to work independently.
• Ability to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs; ability to stand for long periods; flexibility to work different shifts as required.
