Overview

We are currently seeking an ambitious candidate to join our team as a certified Forklift Operator who will perform collaboratively with an amazing team.

Responsibilities

  • Moves, controls, and operates industrial forklifts to transport materials between receiving, storage, service and shipping areas.
  • Organizes and secures materials where balance sacks, pallets, and other materials are stored.
  • Performs routine pre-inspection on equipment to ensure it is working properly.
  • Manually loads or unloads material from pallets, skids, platforms, or lifting devices.
  • Receives inventory as required; responsible for receipt of daily inbound and return items.
  • Counts items to ensure received or returned items are in satisfactory condition.
  • Coordinates loading and unloading operations with managers, supervisors, employees, and vendors.
  • Maintains quantity, type, and value of material, merchandise, or supplies stocked in inventory.
  • Counts material, equipment, merchandise, or supplies in stock and records totals manually or using a computer.
  • Demonstrates responsibility and compliance with all safety and quality policies and standards.
  • May assist other departments as needed.

Minimum Requirements

  • 3 to 6 months of experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
  • At least 1 year of experience driving a forklift; forklift license or ability to obtain one.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to accurately read purchase orders, packing lists, and/or follow verbal work instructions.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Demonstrated organizational ability and follow-through.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to work harmoniously in a team as well as autonomously.
  • Basic Excel experience and comfort communicating verbally and via email.

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to lift at least 75 lbs without assistance using proper lifting techniques or with assistance of a pallet jack.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to work overtime as needed.

Work Environment

This is a warehouse-based position and will be performed on-site in the warehouse.
