The role involves operating a sit-down forklift outdoors in all weather conditions, with frequent overtime available. The Forklift Operator may also use an overhead or bridge crane if qualified, though training can be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a sit-down forklift to move and stack beams.
- Assist with positioning beams for loading onto trailers (no direct trailer loading).
- Use an overhead or bridge crane if needed (experience preferred, not required).
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Proven sit-down forklift experience is required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform bending, squatting, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Strong attention to safety protocols and reliable attendance.
- Bilingual a plus.
- Previous forklift operating experience required.
- Overhead or bridge crane experience preferred.
- Background in material handling or warehouse work is a plus.
