Job Description: Robotic Welding Technician
Reports to: Director of Engineering

Description
The Robotic Welding Technician is responsible for setting up, operating, and troubleshooting robotic welding systems in a CNC and metal fabrication environment. This hands-on role involves ensuring weld quality, making minor programming adjustments, and optimizing robotic welding processes for efficiency. The technician will also monitor production to resolve any issues and maintain safety standards.
Job Duties
- Configure, set up, and troubleshoot robotic welding systems for production runs.
- Identify and resolve robotic welding issues, including torch alignment, wire feeding, and weld quality defects. Perform basic maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Make minor program edits and touch-ups to improve cycle time and weld consistency.
- Inspect welded components to ensure they meet company and customer specifications. Work with the Quality team to address any defects.
- Continuously monitor robotic welding processes and suggest improvements for efficiency and quality.
- Work with production teams, engineering, and maintenance to resolve issues and optimize robotic welding operations.
- Follow all safety protocols and ensure robotic welding operations comply with company and industry standards.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience as a Robotic welding Technician. Yaskawa robots are a plus.
- Understanding of MIG welding, welding symbols, and blueprint reading.
- Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve robotic welding issues.
- Knowledge of robotic programming adjustments, welding parameters, and troubleshooting techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts.
- High attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate documentation.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and contribute to a positive, supportive atmosphere.
