We’re looking for a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) with strong NDE and ASME VIII expertise to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to work with leading manufacturing facilities, drive continuous improvement, and ensure technical excellence across projects that demand the highest standards of safety and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical quality support to manufacturing facilities.
- Develop and implement inspection and test plans for manufactured and purchased components.
- Participate in pre-job contract reviews to align deliverables with specifications.
- Conduct non-destructive and dimensional inspections (PT/MT) in compliance with ASME VIII, customer specifications, and governing codes.
- Coordinate and host third-party inspectors and agencies, ensuring smooth oversight processes.
- Lead internal audits of quality system processes and support adherence to M&TE/testing requirements.
- Prepare, revise, and implement Quality System procedures, policies, and work instructions.
- Review and analyze designs to ensure outcomes meet technical, customer, and regulatory expectations.
- Track, maintain, and report on non-conforming products and corrective actions.
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate daily NDE inspection activities with manufacturing teams.
Qualifications
- Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) credential.
- Proven experience with PT (Liquid Penetrant) and MT (Magnetic Particle Testing).
- Hands-on knowledge of ASME Section VIII standards.
- Demonstrated success working in highly regulated environments with third-party oversight.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple inspection activities daily.
