Base pay range

$90,000.00/yr - $130,000.00/yr

This VP Of Construction Told Me That One Of His Certified Welding Inspectors (CWIs) Is Retiring, So He's Urgently Looking For His Replacement. This Is a Stable, Growing Company With a Strong Reputation And Outstanding Benefits:

If you have a CWI, please apply. This is an opportunity to work in a massive fabrication shop working on interesting projects (such as electric boat work).

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct visual and nondestructive tests on welded assemblies to ensure quality and compliance with specifications.
• Review and interpret welding codes, standards, and procedures to ensure they are followed.
• Prepare and maintain accurate documentation of inspection results, reports, and compliance records.
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers to address potential quality issues during the welding process.
• Train and mentor welding personnel on quality control practices and safety standards.
• Participate in the development and implementation of quality control programs and procedures.
• Stay updated on industry advancements, safety standards, and best practices in welding and inspection.

Required Qualifications

• Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification from the American Welding Society (AWS).

Preferred Qualifications

• MT/PT/UT/VT endorsement (nondestructive testing methods and techniques)
• Detailing work
• CAD Experience
