Pay and status

Base pay range: $15.00/hr (the actual pay is based on skills and experience). This position is part-time and is tied to the Federal Work Study program.

Responsibilities

• Assist welding department with general tasks.
• Help with inventory.
• Help with general maintenance.
• Help with shop cleanup.
• Help prepare metal for welding.

Essential Functions

• Display professionalism and confidentiality in all matters.
• Be on time and reliable.
• Operate basic welding equipment.
• Provide and understand verbal/visual orders from supervisors.

Personal Interaction

Daily contact with College personnel, faculty, students, and the general public in the routine performance of duties and departmental services.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Be enrolled half-time (or greater) at the College (half-time is 6 credits for fall/spring and 3 credits for summer).
• Be enrolled in an eligible degree or certificate program.
• Be in good academic standing.
• Must have eligibility (financial need) as determined by the FAFSA.
