This is an excellent opportunity to leverage your experience in the welding and skilled trades fields to teach others seeking education and training. No previous teaching experience is required, but you must be a certified or licensed Welder and have relevant experience (see below requirements).

JOB SUMMARY

Instructors are responsible for teaching students in our training programs in classroom and hands-on lab settings, ensuring they acquire the knowledge and skills necessary for entry-level employment in their chosen field. They are also responsible for sound educational practices and the academic development of each student. Instructors will manage their classroom environment and promote a positive, engaging learning experience, providing support, tutoring, and additional assistance as needed. They are expected to model professional behaviors, activities, and attitudes expected of our students.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma, GED, or proof of completion of a related vocational training program.
  • Verifiable work experience, including at least five years of recent welding industry experience within the last ten years.
  • Certification or licensing where required by law.
  • Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills, with a proven ability to collaborate with diverse groups of employees and customers.
  • Demonstration of the highest levels of integrity and professionalism, including appearance, demeanor, and attitude.
  • Ability to work in an observation/coaching environment.
  • Capability to prioritize tasks, accept responsibility, and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to customer service.
  • Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous teaching experience in an educational setting and/or experience training employees within the industry.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and accreditation regulations applicable to the proprietary education industry.
