LVN-Sports Medicine (Probst) Job at Eisenhower Health in Rancho Mirage

Performs basic nursing skills; ensures accurate documentation of patient care activity, responds timely to patient requests, maintains a quality standard of care and anticipates daily workload.

Job Description:

Education: Required: Graduate of an accredited Licensed Vocational Nurse Program if hired after March 1, 2025; if assigned to CC7700 Wound Care Clinic (Warke), must complete Hyperbaric Medicine (HBOT) training course within one year of hire.

Licensure/Certification: Required: California Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN); American Heart Association BLS. Additional certifications required as outlined: Intravenous Therapy and Blood Withdrawal Certification. Certifications must be obtained within specified timeframes for various departments.

Experience: Preferred: Healthcare experience; bilingual Spanish/English skills in a hospital, clinic or medical practice setting.

• Demonstrates compliance with Code of Conduct and policies, reports violations.
• Performs within scope of practice for license held.
• Assists RNs and physicians with data collection, examinations, and diagnostic tests.
• Ensures accurate documentation and communicates patient assessment data to RN.
• Completes patient assignments, evaluates interventions, maintains lab and diagnostic results, and reports timely.
• Orders supplies, answers calls politely, provides discharge instructions.
• Contributes to cost-efficiency, maintains cleanliness, and supports team duties.
• Performs patient callbacks, coordinates breaks, maintains professional boundaries.
• Performs other duties as assigned, demonstrates communication and organizational skills, empathy, adaptability, critical thinking, and proficiency with office software.
