Responsible for pickup and delivery of applicable items or specimens.

Job Description:

Deliver items and specimens efficiently and safely, ensuring compliance with all safety and transportation guidelines.

Qualifications:

Licensure/Certification: Required: California Driver License; must be 21 years of age. Required: Riverside County Food Handler’s Card or ServSafe Certificate upon hire.

Experience: Preferred: Prior experience in customer service.

Responsibilities:

• Drive safely, obey traffic laws, and complete daily vehicle assessments.
• Transfer items preserving quality and safety, maintain vehicle cleanliness and logs, and report damages or maintenance needs.
• Deliver supplies, specimens, and reports timely, prioritizing STAT pickups, and ensure proper specimen handling.
• Participate in safety courses and maintain transportation manuals and safety kits.
• Assist with organization of storage and transportation for special events and other departmental deliveries.
• Maintain positive relations with staff, vendors, and clients, and manage tasks efficiently.
• Handle biohazardous materials safely, if applicable, and communicate effectively both written and verbally.
