Job Description: We’re currently seeking passionate and knowledgeable individuals to join us as Basketball Referees for our leagues and tournaments. As a Basketball Referee, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring fair play, sportsmanship, and an overall enjoyable experience for our players.

Responsibilities:

1. Officiate basketball games, enforcing league rules and regulations to maintain a level playing field.
2. Manage game flow and maintain control of the court, ensuring a safe and respectful environment for all participants.
3. Make accurate and timely calls on plays, penalties, and infractions, using sound judgment and discretion.
4. Communicate effectively with players, coaches, and league officials, addressing any questions or concerns with professionalism and clarity.
5. Provide guidance and instruction to players as needed, promoting sportsmanship and fair play.
6. Collaborate with fellow referees and league staff to ensure smooth operations and successful game days.

Requirements:

1. Strong understanding of basketball rules and gameplay.
2. Prior experience as a referee required – VHSL/IAABO certification strongly preferred.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
4. Availability to work evenings and weekends.
5. Passion for sports and a commitment to upholding the values of fair play and sportsmanship.

Starting pay is $35/game.
