Orthopedic Sales Representative, Sports Medicine

The Sports Sales Representative is responsible for achieving sales goals within their territory. Responsibilities include building customer relations through communication and in-person appointments, maintaining expert knowledge of our product portfolio, and consulting surgeons regarding Arthrex products and procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Meet and exceed sales objectives for the territory.
- Build and maintain strong business relationships; develop sales strategies.
- Communicate with current and new customers about product updates, changes, and educational programs.
- Implement sales and marketing strategies to meet/exceed objectives.
- Cross-sell products and manage new product introductions.
- Address account problems as they arise.
- Maintain compliance, confidentiality, and adhere to laws and company policies.
- Receive coaching and training; transfer knowledge to peers.
- Maintain training in sales skills and product features.
- Stay current on industry trends and competitive data.
- Participate in sales and professional meetings outside of regular hours.
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds regularly.
Requirements
Education and Experience
- Minimum 3+ years orthopedic experience; sports experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Ability to relate to customers in the orthopedic/sports medicine market.
- Comfortable in open operating room environments.
- Knowledge of orthopedic procedures, terminology, and OR protocols.
- Ability to learn technical information, anatomy, and surgical indications.
- Prior sales experience is a plus.
Skills and Training
- MS Office proficiency.
- Ability to create effective business plans.
- Strong communication and public speaking skills.
- Sense of urgency; work well under pressure.
- Self-confidence and competitive drive.
- Ability to work independently and responsibly.
- Compliance with all policies and regulations.
Tools and Equipment
- Valid driver’s license and access to transportation.
