Overview Kernodle Clinic, an affiliate of Duke Health Integrated Practice, is seeking a BC/BE fellowship-trained Orthopaedic Family Medicine physician with a Sports Medicine fellowship and experience to join our community-based practice with locations in Burlington, Elon, and Mebane, North Carolina. Key Qualifications The ideal candidate will be patient-centered, community-focused, and proficient in evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of Musculoskeletal (MSK) injuries. Proficiency with ultrasound-guided injections, fracture care, and management of sports and spine injuries is expected. MSK ultrasound experience is a plus. Board-certified/board-eligible in Orthopaedic Surgery and Family Medicine Fellowship in Sports Medicine Experience in MSK evaluation and management Proficiency in ultrasound-guided injections and fracture care Comfort with sports and spine injury management Responsibilities The Kernodle Orthopaedics team operates within a large, community-based multi-specialty practice and collaborates with Alamance Regional Medical Center (ARMC) as part of the Cone Health System. The Orthopaedics Department currently includes five orthopaedic surgeons, one Family Practice Sports Medicine physician, and five physician assistants. The department handles a high volume of office encounters and surgical procedures annually. Specific responsibilities include: Provide clinical assessment, diagnosis, and management of MSK injuries Perform related surgical procedures at ARMC locations (Burlington main hospital and an outpatient surgery center in Mebane) Collaborate with APPs, nursing staff, and support personnel across Burlington and Mebane campuses Participate in clinic operations and potential future walk-in clinic hours About Kernodle Clinic & Area The Kernodle Clinic is Duke’s largest community-based multi-specialty practice with 102 providers in 16 medical and surgical specialties.
