We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and a strong commitment to promoting oral health. The Dental Hygienist will be responsible for providing high-quality dental hygiene services, educating patients on oral health practices, and assisting the dental team in delivering comprehensive care.

Responsibilities

  • Perform thorough dental cleanings and periodontal therapy for patients of all ages
  • Conduct patient assessments, including taking vital signs and reviewing medical histories
  • Utilize Dentrix software for patient documentation and record management
  • Provide chairside assistance during dental procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow in the clinic
  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits
  • Maintain infection control protocols and adhere to aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety
  • Assist in medical imaging procedures as needed, including X-rays and other diagnostic tools
  • Review and document patient records accurately, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Collaborate with the dental team to develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs
  • Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and participate in continuing education opportunities

Qualifications

  • Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist
  • Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and infection control practices
  • Proficiency in EMR systems and documentation review processes
  • Previous experience in a dental office or clinic setting is highly desirable
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively on oral health topics
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
  • Understanding of medical coding and medical terminology is beneficial for accurate record keeping

  • Pay: $45.00 - $55.00 per hour
  • Expected hours: 8 – 34 per week
