Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding dental hygiene care and patient education within a team environment.
• Engage in Heartland Dental’s hygiene mentor program and utilize available educational resources to enhance clinical skills.
• Deliver care with clinical autonomy while collaborating with practice management and a broad network of Heartland Dental resources.
• Support community health through patient care and relationship-building within the practice.

Qualifications

• Current dental hygienist license in MO and an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene (as required).
• Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, patient screening, and medical history documentation.
• CPR Certification.

Preferred Experience

• Experienced hygienists and new graduates welcome.
• Experience with Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanners, digital x-rays, and electronic medical records.
• Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet patient needs and provide preventative care.
• Clinical needs as required by the office.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Prolonged periods of sitting and standing; ability to lift up to 45 pounds when needed.
• Availability to attend virtual or in-person training periodically.
• TB testing required for all new dental office hires (not applicable in FL & TN).
