Part-Time Dental Hygienist - Virginia Beach, VA. Landstown Dental Care is looking for a Dental Hygienist to join our team. Schedule: Mondays 7:30am - 5:00pm; Fridays 7:30am - 5:00pm. Location: Landstown Dental Care, 1909 Landstown Centre Way, Virginia Beach, VA 23456.

Responsibilities

  • Provide dental hygiene care to patients in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with doctors and staff to deliver high-quality patient care and education.
  • Participate in ongoing mentorship and professional development opportunities.
  • Utilize provided supplies and labs to deliver exceptional patient care.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Current dental hygienist license in Virginia and an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene (where required).
  • Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, patient screening, and medical history documentation.
  • CPR Certification.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays, and electronic medical record systems.
  • Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet patient needs and provide preventative care.
  • Clinical needs as required by the office.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation; reasonable accommodations may be made for disabilities.
  • Prolonged periods sitting and standing; ability to lift up to 45 pounds at times.
  • Availability to attend virtual or in-person training sessions periodically throughout the year.
  • TB test may be required for new hires in dental office positions where applicable; not applicable in FL & TN.
