Key Job Details – OBGYN RN Travel Nursing in Iowa

• Location: Atlantic, IA 50022 (Iowa nursing jobs)
• Healthcare Setting: Obstetrics Unit (OB RN, Women's Health)
• Employment Type: Travel Nurse, Locum Tenens
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts; every third weekend
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 10/20/2025 – End: 1/19/2026)
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2200 - $2360
  
  

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active RN license (Registered Nurse)
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in obstetrics, OBGYN, or women's health nursing
• BLS certification (AHA)
• Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
• Ability to float to Med/Surg floor when OB unit is empty
  
  

OBGYN RN Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patient needs and responses to obstetric and women's health care
• Apply sound nursing judgment in patient care management decisions
• Coordinate patient care activities, including teaching, rounding, counseling, and discharge planning
• Direct and delegate appropriately to members of the healthcare team
• Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, families, and healthcare team members
• Participate in performance improvement, nursing quality, and research activities
• Demonstrate responsibility and accountability for safe, competent patient care
• Float to Med/Surg floor as needed to support clinical operations
