Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents according to current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations.
• Supervise day-to-day nursing activities performed by nursing assistants as directed by the Director of Nursing Services or Nurse Supervisor.
• Delegate authority and responsibility consistent with state requirements for LPN/LVN or RN practice.

Qualifications

• LPN/LVN: Graduate of an approved LPN/LVN program.
• RN: Nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
• Participation in continuing education is desirable.
• On-the-job training is provided.
