We are seeking a Lead Custodian to join our team at OU HSC, Oklahoma's premier research university. This role involves providing custodial services across campus facilities and supervising a team of custodians.

Responsibilities

• Disposal of trash and waste
• Cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, offices, and hallways
• Maintaining custodial equipment and requisitioning supplies
• Responding to custodial emergencies
• Placing mats during inclement weather to prevent accidents
• Supervising and training custodial staff, inspecting facilities, and delegating tasks
• Performing additional duties as needed

Qualifications

• No formal education required
• At least 12 months custodial experience
• Skills in reading comprehension, customer service, chemical handling, tool use, basic math, and computer skills
• Valid Oklahoma driver's license or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire

Working Conditions

• Physical demands include lifting up to 100 lbs, prolonged standing, and bending
• Environmental exposure to odors, chemicals, and stressful situations
• Possible weekend/overtime work and emergency campus presence

Additional Information

The position is full-time, mid-senior level, in the management and manufacturing field within higher education. Employment is contingent upon a background check.
