Position: Facilities Maintenance Worker

Locations: Bounds Family YMCA, Daphne, AL and Spanish Fort Y Express, Spanish Fort, AL

Type: Full-time, non-exempt

Travel: Between the two locations

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize assigned areas, including mopping, dusting, trash removal, and cleaning locker rooms.
• Perform window washing, meeting setup, groundskeeping, laundry, and other maintenance duties as assigned.
• Operate cleaning equipment and report repairs needed.
• Ensure the safety and security of the YMCA property during shifts.
• Restock supplies like soap and paper towels.
• Assist with event setup and other maintenance tasks as directed.

Qualifications

• At least six months of related experience preferred.
• Ability to interpret instructions and reports.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment.
• Understanding of safe handling of cleaning chemicals.

Physical Demands

• Physical strength and agility to perform duties.
• Ability to work at heights up to 30 feet on ladders.
• Comfort working with chemicals, paints, and motorized equipment.
• Ability to work in dusty and dirty conditions.
