Pay is $18-$20 hourly depending on experience

Position purpose:
- The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible to ensure quality cleaning procedures are practiced throughout the housekeeping department in the Inns of Aurora.
- Ensure cleaning checklists are properly filed and maintained
- Act as direct report for housekeepers of all properties
- Report all changes or issues to the Housekeeping Manager
- Be available to employees as a resource
- Maintain constant communication with maintenance staff to understand ongoing projects
- Attend meetings with management and co-supervisors
- Complete all tasks required of Housekeepers, Houseman and Housekeeping Supervisor, as needed
- Accommodate guest special requests
- Perform opening duties by assigning work to room attendants and prioritizing workload
- Keep public areas neat and remove trash, mop floors and clean carpets as necessary
- Clean light fixtures, ceiling fans, windows and glass doors
- Notify General Manager of any problems with room or public areas
- Proper administration of key control for issued keys and keys left by guests in rooms
- Maintain all lost and found items for logging and storage
- Ensure confidentiality and security of room
- Keep linen closet and supply area organized and tidy
- Report any maintenance needs and handle guest requests and/or complaints
- Adhere to all work rules, procedures and polices established by the Inns of Aurora, including, but not limited to, those contained in the employee handbook
Qualifications:
- Previous housekeeping experience
- Ability to maintain neat, professional and clean appearance and practices
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs and general computer literacy
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Refined time management skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
- Ability to work independently
- Flexibility with hourly schedules
Preferences:
- Knowledge of OSHA, cleaning products, procedures and standards
