Perform daily cleaning of resident rooms, bathrooms, common areas, and dining areas, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and disinfecting surfaces.
Change bed linens, make beds, and replenish supplies as needed. Dispose of trash and replace liners in resident rooms and community areas.
Wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens, towels, and personal clothing, ensuring proper handling of residents’ belongings with care and respect.
Follow infection control protocols, use appropriate cleaning products, and report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or damaged items. Adhere to all community policies, procedures, and health regulations.
Treat residents with dignity, kindness, and respect, being mindful of their needs, privacy, and preferences. Communicate any concerns or requests to the appropriate staff.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous housekeeping or custodial experience, preferably in healthcare, senior living, or hospitality.
Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to work efficiently following schedules and with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Friendly, compassionate attitude towards seniors.
Physical Requirements:
- Lift up to 25 lbs, stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
- Comfortable with cleaning supplies and repetitive tasks.
