Cornerstone Building Brands is hiring: Quality Technician 3rd Shift in Douglasvi

Overview

Starting Base Salary: $18 per hour.

Shift: This will either be a 1st or 3rd shift position. 1st shift 5am-3:30pm and 3rd shift 10pm-6:30am; Monday through Friday with weekends based on business need. Hiring manager will determine where needed.

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming raw materials (glass, vinyl, hardware, etc.) for conformance to specifications
• Conduct in-process inspections on window frames, sashes, glass units, and completed windows
• Perform final inspections and document any quality defects prior to shipment
• Maintain accurate and detailed inspection records, including quality checklists, test data, and deviation reports
• Assist in root cause analysis and corrective action investigations for non-conforming products
• Work with production staff to ensure quality standards are understood and followed
• Calibrate and maintain inspection tools and testing equipment
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and communicate findings to leadership
• Support audits (internal, customer, or third-party) by providing documentation and data as needed
• Enforce compliance with safety and quality standards in accordance with ISO or other applicable certifications

Qualifications

• Ability to read tape measures as well as read and interpret fractions and decimals
• Ability to read at least minimum word and number recognition/visual cues
• Quality recognition in station quality requirements/CTQ
• Communicate effectively by actively listening, explaining clearly and accurately, asking questions, and sharing important information
