Operator Trainee – 3rd shift at WestRock Company.

Responsibilities

• Safely perform a wide range of tasks including stacking corrugated product, conducting quality checks, material set-up, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
• Learn manufacturing processes and operate complex machinery with guidance from trained Operators, and QA/Safety Manager.
• Participate in onboarding activities such as shadowing and hands-on training; understand setup, run and cleanup procedures; read production orders; generate load tags; and follow housekeeping standards.
• Use KIWI (FFF) Computer System and follow LOTO (Lock Out/Tag Out) procedures.
• Assist in inspection of corrugated product, participate in inventory activities (rollstock, raw materials, finished goods).
• Operate various manufacturing equipment under supervision and follow specific direction; read a tape measure and apply basic math and computer skills.
• Maintain a safe work environment, comply with safety regulations, and perform duties that may require lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods; work daily overtime, weekends, and other shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Willingness to learn manufacturing processes and operate complex machinery; computer savvy and strong commitment to safety.
• Physical capability to perform required duties (lift up to 50 lbs, stand/walk during shift, occasional kneeling/bending).
• Ability to read a tape measure and demonstrate basic math and computer skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to shift requirements, including overtime and weekend work.
• Drug screening may be required after a conditional offer but before starting employment.

Compensation & Benefits

Pay: $22.46/hr.
