Wieland is hiring a Maintenance Technician (3rd shift). The technician will maintain production equipment, the building, and support systems to ensure operational availability. Responsibilities include diagnosing causes of breakdowns, performing repairs, adjustments, modifications, and supporting project work alongside the Manufacturing Manager.

This role is located in Verona, VA and is fully on-site.

Schedule: 3rd Shift (Sunday - Friday, 10 pm - 6 am)

Responsibilities

  • Promote safety and build a proactive safety culture
  • Identify and correct safety hazards to prevent injuries
  • Ensure equipment availability for production by diagnosing and repairing breakdowns
  • Analyze drawings, manuals, wiring diagrams to service mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic systems
  • Apply preventative maintenance to minimize unplanned downtime
  • Troubleshoot and repair malfunctions
  • Contribute to preventive maintenance programs
  • Manage spare parts inventory
  • Perform repairs and modifications to keep the building and equipment in working order
  • Coordinate with outside contractors as needed
  • Support maintenance scheduling and planning, including preventive efforts
  • Participate in 5S activities

Qualifications

  • Safety-conscious mindset
  • Minimum 5 years of maintenance experience in manufacturing
  • Experience troubleshooting PLC, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic systems, with electrical knowledge up to 480 volts
  • Proactive self-starter with good prioritization skills
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written
  • Experience with maintenance management systems such as FIIX
