Production Supervisor - 3rd Shift Job at Heinz in Champaign

The Production Supervisor - 3rd Shift is a key member of the plant leadership team, responsible for managing daily manufacturing operations for a designated area and shift. Reporting to the Business Unit Manager, this role aims to achieve operational excellence and continuous improvement.

Primary Responsibilities

This position is responsible for meeting objectives related to productivity, efficiency, customer service, cost, quality, safety, and employee engagement. The supervisor provides leadership, development, and support to direct reports through empowerment, teamwork, and continuous improvement initiatives. They develop and promote safety programs and safe work practices, foster sound labor relations, and support cross-functional initiatives.

Qualifications

• BA/BS Degree in Business, Food Science, Engineering, or related field preferred
• 2+ years supervisory experience
• 1+ years manufacturing experience preferred
• Ability to lead, motivate, and mentor large teams of hourly associates
• Strong communication, leadership, analytical, and critical thinking skills
• High accountability, consistency, and follow-through

Salary Range: $77,800 - $97,300
