Join to apply for the WORKLEADER- SANITATION - 3rd Shift role at McCormick & Company. This is a full-time position located in Dallas, TX.

Note: occasional weekends and mandatory overtime may be required based on business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures overall performance of the sanitation team to include quality, safety, reliability, waste and sanitation to achieve business goals.
  • Pro-actively encourages continuous improvement and daily problem-solving initiatives to increase operational effectiveness and efficiencies.
  • Regular review and coaching of team member performance.
  • Attend Sanitation/QC DDS for priority alignment daily.
  • Provide feedback for the janitorial crew.
  • Submit a daily report of activities performed for Quality and Sanitation at the end of shift to Quality lead.
  • Understand scheduled downtimes on the floor by working with production & QC (during DDS).
  • Follow duties and frequencies on Master Sanitation Schedule for the site and update as needed.
  • Identify new opportunities for sanitation improvement.
  • Adapt to changeovers in filling areas, adjusting scheduling and duties for efficiency.
  • Perform cleaning tasks on auxiliary equipment and areas as needed (brush down, vacuum, wipe, mop, etc.).
  • Maintain inventory and replenish cleaning supplies; ensure cleanliness of overhead ducts, pipes, and light fixtures; stock restrooms as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary workspace in the assigned area, including lunch areas, sinks, shelves, and floors.
  • Remove trash from production areas, breakrooms, and offices as needed; sweep and vacuum open floor space and perimeters.
  • Perform the duties of other team members as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required.

Required Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of uses, versatility, and limitations of cleaning devices and materials.
  • Scissor lift license required.
  • Ability to sustain physical work and lift up to 25 lbs (office) or 50 lbs (plant area).
  • Good communication skills; ability to follow through on tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Basic knowledge of machine functions and computers/data entry.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Flexibility to work overtime (daily and weekends) required.
  • Ability to operate forklift, knuckle boom, scissor lift, and floor scrubber.
  • Must be able to work at high elevation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in food manufacturing and leading a team.
  • Minimum of 1-year sanitation/janitorial experience.
