Overview

Maintenance Mechanic - 3rd Shift at ACR (AmerCareRoyal) – responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on production equipment, dismantling, moving, and installing machinery as required, and complying with safety and housekeeping procedures.

Qualifications

• High School or trade school graduate or equivalent GED with 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Able to read and write; able to understand policies, manufacturing orders (MOs), Job Hazard Analysis (JHAs), and other work instructions. Basic math and computer skills.
• Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, mill machines, and machine shop equipment. Able to analyze and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Preferred knowledge and certification in electrical and wiring with an E2 license. Experience troubleshooting PLCs and electrical controls.
• Knowledge of fabrication and blueprinting skills is a plus, with experience in part creation for machine maintenance.
• Able to effectively communicate for collaboration of work and delivery of supplies to and from machine as needed.
• Excellent mechanical ability and manual dexterity. Must be able to work standing or walking most of the workday and able to frequently lift 45+ pounds. Able to work with sharp tools and wear hearing protection as required.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes mechanical, electrical, and operational problems on assigned equipment; plans for and takes corrective action. Makes necessary corrections and running adjustments to maximize production and quality standards. Notifies maintenance department manager and operations supervisor of recurring equipment malfunctions, corrective action taken, and of quality problems or supplies needed.
• Performs scheduled maintenance and reviews production schedule. When equipment is not scheduled for manufacturing, performs scheduled maintenance. Assists operations team with changeovers, when necessary.
• Tests equipment to check operation. Clears jams and sets aside product for inspection and rework. Proves out equipment function after repairs, changeovers or extended downtime.
• Makes preventative maintenance checks and inspections of assigned equipment, reports findings to supervisor and takes appropriate action. Examines defects and analyzes spoilage cases and where possible, takes corrective action. Analyzes and records cause of production delays on daily production report.
• Reads and interprets blueprints to plan setup and operate lathes, milling machines, grinders, saws, and presses. Plans setup and operates typical machine tools, producing parts to close tolerances and company specifications.
• Other duties as assigned.

Compensation and Benefits

Compensation Range: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour, consistent with applicable law; compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position. ACR reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Working environment and requirements

Applicants must be comfortable working in a non-temperature-controlled environment. Hearing protection and steel-toed shoes are required. Safety, hygiene, and cleanliness are strictly enforced. Applicants must be able to stand or walk for extended periods and regularly lift up to 50 lbs.
