Overview
Position: Machine Operator - Food Industry
Starting at: $19 - $21/hour
Schedule: 3rd Shift, 10:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m.
Location: Cincinnati, Ohio 45246
Potential for additional hours including weekends.

Responsibilities
- Perform all functions related to start-up, shutdown, lockout, sanitation, and operation of packaging and/or process equipment to produce products safely, with high quality, and within cost targets.
- Maintain safety and good manufacturing practices, emphasizing quality and food safety. Clean and maintain machinery using specified tools per SSOPs.
- Monitor product and packaging quality (appearance, weight, code dates, etc.). Conduct periodic tests, document results, perform quality control testing, and record data in production and quality logs. Monitor metal detector CCP per HACCP programs.
- Operate and monitor process and/or packaging equipment to sustain product flow, adjusting settings to achieve optimal performance. Collaborate with team members across shifts.
- Operate automated equipment (touchscreens, sensors, controllers, actuators, photo eyes, motors). Adjust controls to maintain product specifications.
- Maintain inventory traceability of ingredients and packaging materials. Load and unload machines as needed.
- Troubleshoot machine issues and routinely clean and maintain equipment and workspace. Coordinate with support teams to resolve issues and improve processes.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret industry, production, and technical documents in English.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently with meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficient understanding of production procedures and equipment.
- Commitment to maintaining high safety standards.
- Strong leadership and communication skills within a team environment.
- Proven experience in a fast-paced environment with focus on quality and safety.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Basic math skills and ability to work weekends and holidays as needed.
- Prior proficiency in equipment operation.
Education And Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Mechanical skills and experience in a manufacturing environment (preferably 1-2 years).
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- Previous food manufacturing experience is a plus.
- Two years of food production experience preferred.
- Familiarity with PLC-controlled equipment preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Working conditions typical of a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, move objects, and perform repetitive motions.
- Ability to communicate with others, see details, and distinguish colors.
- Adaptability to diverse environments and surfaces; comply with GMPs and maintain a clean work environment.
- Wear PPE as needed.
- Stand and move on the manufacturing floor for up to 8 hours; capable of standing, walking, bending, and reaching; ascend/descend ladders, stairs, ramps, or scaffolding as required.
