Registered Nurses deliver care to patients utilizing the nursing process. Nurses collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective patient care delivery and achievement of desired patient outcomes. They effectively interact with patients and significant others, maintaining professional nursing standards. Registered Nurses provide direct, individualized nursing care based on scientific nursing principles and must be well-versed in a variety of health conditions.
Registered Nurses also participate in committee activities, surveys, and quality improvement initiatives, upholding the standards of the Texas Nurse Practice Act. Surgical Services Registered Nurses are responsible for delivering safe, effective, and patient-family-centered care in the Operating Room, Gastroenterology lab, and other perioperative areas for all patient populations.
Job Requirements
- Minimum Education: Associate's Degree
- Minimum Work Experience: No Previous experience required
- Required Licenses/Certifications: Registered Nurse, CPR-BCLS
- Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: Maintain professional appearance, handle confidential information
Additional notes: Must take call and respond within 30 minutes when on call. OSHA Category: 1 - High Risk.
