Job Summary
Registered Nurses deliver care to patients utilizing the nursing process. They collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective patient care delivery and achievement of desired patient outcomes. Nurses interact effectively with patients and their loved ones, maintaining professional nursing standards. They provide direct, individualized care based on scientific nursing principles, and must be well-versed in a broad range of health conditions. Registered Nurses participate in committee activities, surveys, and improvement initiatives, and uphold the standards of the Texas Nurse Practice Act.
Intermediate Care Nurses care for acutely ill patients requiring frequent assessments and monitoring specialized equipment. They interpret data to determine patient care needs.
Job Requirements
- Minimum Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Minimum Work Experience: No previous experience required
- Required Licenses/Certifications: Registered Nurse, CPR-BCLS (before orientation completion), ACLS (before orientation completion), NIH Stroke Scale (before orientation completion)
