Job Summary

A Teacher is responsible for maintaining a safe and healthy learning environment to promote the positive development of children. They assist Lead Teachers in planning, directing, or coordinating academic and non-academic activities, teach and implement learning objectives, greet parents and children during drop-off/pick-up, and perform daily tasks such as diapering, laundry, cleaning, and stocking supplies, while complying with state mandated ratios and regulations.

Job Requirements

  • Education: Required: Minimum of 6 college hours at an accredited college or university (if hired prior to 7/30/2018, 3 hours in early childhood education required) OR obtain MOA Educational Wavier before hire and maintain throughout employment. Preferred: College hours related to early childhood education.
  • Experience: Preferred: 1-2 Years Related Experience.
  • Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication; time management; interpersonal skills; organization; prioritization; decision-making; ability to perform under stress; health screening; successful clearance from Family Care Safety Registry; annual TB test; at least 18 years old; initial T-Dap Immunization.
  • Licensure/Certification: Must obtain Heartsaver Pediatric CPR/FA/AED certification within 30 days of hire.
