Location

Overview

We are seeking an Oracle Xstore Functional Consultant with strong experience in Oracle Retail solutions to support and drive a major POS system transformation project. The role will focus on migrating 250+ stores from Oracle Xstore On-Premise to Oracle Xstore Cloud, alongside integrations with other Oracle retail applications.

The consultant will work closely with the Oracle team, business stakeholders, and external partners to design, drive, and oversee process development. This is not a development-heavy role but requires someone with the ability to understand technical detail, shape functional requirements, and act as a product/process owner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a functional lead for the migration of Oracle Xstore POS (On-Prem to Cloud).

  • Collaborate with Oracle teams and internal stakeholders to design and optimize retail processes.

  • Drive process definition and oversee development execution (functional ownership).

  • Support implementation and integration of:

    • Oracle Xstore Mobile

    • Oracle Xoffice

    • Oracle Order Broker (OOB) – cloud service for order fulfilment across zegna.com and in-store.

    • Oracle Retail Customer Engagement (ORCE)

  • Provide hands-on support with Oracle PL/SQL (writing and understanding queries for troubleshooting and validation).

  • Act as the key liaison between business and technical teams.

  • Report directly to senior leadership and provide progress updates.

  • Support the potential expansion of the local Oracle team in Italy/Switzerland.

Requirements

  • 2–3 years’ experience with Oracle Retail (Xstore, Xoffice, Order Broker, ORCE).

  • Strong functional knowledge of POS / Omnichannel Retail systems.

  • Ability to design processes and drive implementation (not just development).

  • Good knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL (functional-level – queries, validation, troubleshooting).

  • Experience in large-scale retail system transformation projects.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Fluent in English; Italian preferred (mandatory if based in Italy).

Contract Conditions

  • No shared budget (dedicated resource).

  • 12 months initially with strong extension potential.

  • Onsite requirements:

    • Italy – 2 days remote per week in Milan

    • Switzerland – 1 day remote per week.
