Interstate Fleet Services is seeking a Mobile Diesel Mechanic for our Zion Grove, PA area operation. This is a contract position that allows you to work from home and be on call to respond to customer breakdowns or work-site locations.

Your Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting and repairing all makes of vehicles on the roadside and/or work-site, including no starts, brakes, compressed air systems, tires, electrical repairs, trailer repairs, and hydraulic line replacements.
• Communicating clearly with dispatchers and customers to provide excellent service.

Position Responsibilities

• Experience with class 6-8 truck maintenance and repair (recent graduates from diesel school are welcome to apply).
• Self-motivated with the ability to work on call from home with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to drive to client sites/breakdown locations for repairs, mostly on a nontraditional schedule.
• Strong professional approach to working directly with customers.
• Ability to diagnose failures and observe for unreported problems.
• Effective communication with dispatchers on arrivals, departures, and job progress.

Position Requirements

• Must live in the Zion Grove, PA area.
• Must have all your own basic hand tools.
• Experience as a Diesel Mechanic/Service Tech in a shop or doing road service.
• Willing to work on call during irregular hours in all weather conditions.
• Possess a valid driver's license (no CDL required).
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and all random testing after hire.
