We are seeking a Night Auditor to join our Timber team at Timber Ridge Lodge & Waterpark in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin.
Located within historic Lake Geneva, Timber Ridge Lodge at Grand Geneva Resort is the Midwest's only all-season, all-suite destination. About the role:
Provide efficient, courteous, and high-quality service to our guests, adhering to company standards and procedures. Responsible for timely reporting of resort revenues and settlements, maintaining accurate records and databases. This is a third-shift position.
Key responsibilities include:
- Performing front desk duties such as greeting guests, processing transactions, answering calls, managing reservations, balancing credit card and cash transactions, and taking messages for guests and management
- Maintaining knowledge of the property management system (SMS Host) and point of sale systems (SMS POS and SMS Touch)
- Verifying room charges, taxes, and resort fees on occupied rooms; balancing food and beverage systems
- Handling guest complaints and providing information within your scope of authority
- Completing shift checklists
- Monitoring front desk areas for safety, security, and appearance, reporting any incidents or issues
- Collaborating with housekeeping and maintenance to assess room status and coordinate repairs
- Managing cash control responsibly, ensuring accurate deposits and minimal cash drawer balance
- Performing additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- At least 6 months of experience in a guest service role, preferably in hospitality
- Ability to work independently with good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Service-oriented attitude
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Ability to motivate and guide others
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Quick learner, capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment
