Job Overview: Manage daily room, restaurant, and bar operations. Post and balance charges and settlements efficiently. Maintain files and reset systems for the next day. (Overnight/graveyard shift at the Front Desk).
The ideal candidate will have previous hotel front desk experience (Hilton brand is a PLUS) and open availability for weekday/weekend overnight shifts.
Compensation: $21-22/Hour.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Prepare daily Restaurant Revenue Report by auditing Micros tapes/journals to breakdown revenue, covers, waiters' fees, tips, and settlements.
- Run audit reports from mainframe, Micros system, and automated credit card systems.
- Make corrections, handle computer issues during shifts.
- Input revenue, expenses, and allowances into PC to generate daily reports.
- Balance revenue and settlement accounts nightly; maintain files; reset systems for next day.
- Ensure reports and vouchers are complete and properly filed.
- Distribute copies of reports and backups to relevant departments.
- Review and correct discrepancies in Front Desk System.
- Coordinate with front desk and restaurant/bar closing to ensure smooth operations.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Knowledge of accounting operations including accounts receivable and payable.
- Basic math skills and ability to operate a 10-key by touch.
- Effective communication and customer service skills.
- Proficiency in computer systems and data entry.
- Fluent in English with excellent telephone etiquette.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant education, training, or experience.
- Minimum one-year experience in a similar operation; hotel experience preferred.
- Additional language skills are a plus.
