Under the direction of Fitness Center Management, executes and ensures daily operations are performed as per established policies & practices. Ensures facilities remain clean and the staff promotes a friendly atmosphere while assisting patrons with questions and equipment needs. Provides superb customer service to military and civilian patrons.
Responsibilities
- Ensure fitness center rules, regulations and safety practices are properly enforced.
- Ensure security and accountability of equipment and property.
- Ensure cleanliness/serviceability of equipment.
- Maintain accurate event/facility attendance records for programs and equipment.
- Handle telephone inquiries, greet visitors, and provide information as needed.
- Assist with special events within the department.
- Performs other related duties as required.
- Accepts reservations, collects fees and checks-out equipment.
- May prepare individual exercise records including measuring and patrons exercise objectives.
- Demonstrates proper use of equipment. May monitor exercise areas, sauna, steam rooms, and dressing areas to ensure compliance with facility rules.
Qualifications
- High school diploma.
- Valid driver's license.
- Customer service experience, preferably in a fitness center type environment.
- Must be available to work any/all shifts as needed (Shifts vary early AM-late PM).
- Must be willing to work on holidays.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds.
- Work is primarily performed indoors, however may be outdoors to support various sports events and functions.
